The Right Guy

‘Do you know?’ He said, taking her hands in his, ‘Do you know what it is to love someone and never, never! – be able to give them peace and happiness? Do you know what it means to not feel like you are the Right person for someone?’

The Right guy is never wrong. The Right Guy makes things last. The Right guy makes it all Right! The image of the right man, the tough man and the true man are all rolled into one man in our fantasies as ‘The One’. The need to look for ‘The Right Man’ is as old as our dreams themselves! Since we spend so much of our young life wondering, waiting and evaluating men in the cast of ‘The Right Man, is he?’ , my Muse for this week is : Who is the Right Man and how do we stop lookin’ for one!

Revelations

What I am espousing here is a complete personal belief from personal experiences. Let’s do one thing before we move any further. Let’s have an open mind and agree to disagree ( if required).

Firstly, I am in love with Fray because I am listening to this band right now and trust me, all these realizations, stipulations and those awaited understandings which I was trying to find since so long, you know those consolations you give yourself at the end of every situation-gone-wrong or ‘the moral of the story’ you try to find, coupled with Fray’s music is making my life right now a complete A-rated sitcom’s episode.
Here are few stipulations. My motive is to put my foot down here and say- Believe in these things because I think once in a while they are TRUE and applicable!

Sec 377

Before I protest I will celebrate. I will celebrate that I still can express myself without fear. I will celebrate before they snatch away that freedom of mine too. I will roam the streets with my head held high in my “western” clothes and my “morals” lose before my likes and dislikes are declared as treason against the state.

Before I protest, I will mourn. Mourn that my love now has to abide by the directives laid by the Judiciary system of my democratic country. Mourn that my country which has always had a place for invaders and foreigners now has no place for 1.2 million of its population. Mourn that instead of moving forward we are slipping back into the dark ages. But mostly I will mourn that my country rewards hypocrisy and condemns love, bravery and honesty.
