Well, when you talk about travelling places in India you better not miss the royal state of Rajasthan. The place that has immense history and culture associated with it. The place that gives you a chance to enjoy variety of foods and cultures. Most of the cities is Rajasthan have a rich history behind them. The palaces speak out loud about the royal history associated. The people are simple and have always been hospitable. The main geographic features of Rajasthan are the Thar Desert and the Aravalli Range, which runs through the state from southwest to northeast. Rajasthan is not just about historical places and monuments. Rajasthan is also noted for National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries. So, when you travel this royal state you get a chance to cover a lot of things in a single hit!



The state is a state full of colours. People are colourful and love to share. You will for sure love the food here! The place offers some of the best and exotic preparations. Rajasthan is not just about palaces, you have a variety there. So, when you plan a trip to Rajasthan don’t forget to visit the offbeat places! Yes, at times these not so famous places, come out to be the best ones. So, the place is definitely full of surprise packages for you. A few places that we think ought to be in your list when you travel to this royal place are-

Jaipur- The city is full of colours and is the capital of the state as well. The city is so well known that apparently it needs to description. Yes, the pink city is always a must visit when you travel Rajasthan.
Udaipur- Udaipur is a beautiful city and has many lakes around it. It is also known as the city of lakes. Apart from its history, culture, and scenic locations, it is also known for its Rajput-era palaces. The place is a must visit for a true royal experience.

Jaisalmer- The city of Jaisalmer is also known as the Golden City. The city lies in the heart of the Thar Desert and is a must visit for a true desert experience. Jaisalmer is named after Maharawal Jaisal Singh, a Rajput king who founded the city in 1156 AD. "Jaisalmer" means "the Hill Fort of Jaisal". So, don’t forget visiting this city, the next time you visit Rajasthan.


Bhangarh- This one is from the offbeat list! Very few places in the world are famous for ruins, Bhangarh is one of them. The place lies in the district of Alwar and is a haunted place. Bhangarh has a place in the list of the most haunted places in Asia. The mystery associated with the place makes people interested in visiting it.

Lakshaman Sagar- There is heritage resort located at Lakshamansagar, approximately two hours from Ajmer. A few creative people have glorified the place in such a way, that it makes you marvel at the sheer creativity. Surely, Lakshaman Sagar is a must visit place.

The Sariska Tiger Reserve- The Sariska Tiger Reserve is an Indian national park. It is located in the district of Alwar. The place is a must visit for all who love wildlife and forests. The place is just 125 odd miles from Delhi. Again, it offers great adventure and you better not miss it!

Ajmer- Well, Ajmer is the Sufi city of the royal Rajasthan. It is one of the largest cities of Rajasthan and is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains. It is a pilgrimage centre for the shrine of the Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Also, Ajmer serves as a base for visiting Pushkar, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage city, famous for the temple of Brahma.

    Have you visited all these places? Also, I must say that Rajasthan offers you more in terms of variety. One can't miss Jodhpur, Mount Abu, Ranthambor, Chittaur, Shekhawati region etc.

  3. Hey I wish you had written this post before our visit to Rajasthan, but then it was two years ago ; )
    Yeah we missed a couple of places, but the next time we plan a trip, I will keep this post handy.

  4. really Rajasthan is a best tourist spot in India, There are lots of Visiting Places in Rajasthan and also Distinct number of foods along with species found in Rajasthan, inside Rajasthan the food like Wada-Pav, Sabudana Khicdi, Kanda Pohe etc for example are the well known food prepared by your chefs as well as served for people.
