So you just got dumped? But can’t get over
him/her? Love ends but memories remain. But you can do something creepy and
amusing by donating your memories to a museum! The shiny
shoes, kinky toys, frayed gowns and scribbled notes and letters; all are arranged
as a memory in a place called MUSEUM OF BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS (MoBR).Yess!
Zagreb’s museum of broken relationships, an unusual museum in Croatia’s capital
(Europe) collects the stories of failed love and leftovers of last lovers.

Believe in Love
Do you believe in love? In soulmates?
Do you believe that you can look past the flaws and faults of a human and accept them for what they are?
Do you believe that you can give without asking for much? That we all have that one great love which changes our life? Do you believe, that you can separate the flings and the passing affairs from the real connections? Do you believe that even on your worst days its your love that will be your saviour?

Breakups:- End of Road
·
‘We broke up. I do not want to live
anymore.’
·
Whenever someone breaks up from a serious
relationship, (s)he usually goes into a depressed state and thinks like (s)he
wouldn’t be able to live their life as their partner has left them alone, that
their survival is not possible. But is it really the truth?

The Dark Hole
At atleast one point in our lives we all go through a really weird phase when nothing goes right and nothing's left in your brains. And when nothing goes right despite of trying every damn thing with the dedication of every single cell in our body, our confidence takes a deep plunge in the wide sea of depression pulling our happiness and motivation and willingness with it.
Your job left you and your cat died, you're wife's a nuance and you're finding it difficult to strive. Your books are flesh-eating monsters and your friends are monotonous mood busters. You don't feel like getting out of the bed when responsibilities and loans are on your head. The motivational talks are shit cuz you think you know your depression is where you fit.

When nothing seems to work
When nothing seems right in life there are always two ways to see things, say the ones who have been through, gone through. These two ways are; either look at things in a positive way or a negative way. But when things go haywire, we generally have more than two ways; looking at things in a confused way, irritated way, sulking way, stoned way etc. Here are a few options you can try when all you see is a void, and nothing traditional seems to work.
1 Now, when one can fall into so many ‘not so amusing’ situations then whom to look up to and where to get that mindset that can make one see those ‘one better than the other out-of-the-box’ way of dealing with the situation. The brawny ones say that meditate if you are way too ruffled in your shawl (it is symbolic, means if you are too much troubled). Hmmm… I did try in the times of crisis, you too can. Results... Well! They vary.

10 lessons to learn from Gabbar Singh
Gabbar Singh, loosely translated from hindi means the proud lion. He was true to his name and starred in the movie Sholay that truly immortalised him. Sholay was and still is one of the most successful movies of bollywood. Amjad Khan who brought Gabbar Singh to life on the silverscreen, did complete justice to the beautifully written script. It was not just the powerful dialogues but the actor's persona and his rendition of the character that has etched Gabbar's memory in our minds forever.
Indeed, Gabbar Singh is the most quoted bollywood villian of all times. Not just this, with some seriously good script writing by Salim - Javed, there's timeless wisdom in Gabbar Singh's character. Gabbar was
more than just a ruthless dacoit he was also a management and marketing genius. Just have a look at all that we can learn from his enterprising character:

Make lemonade
Now this is one proverbial phrase that has
been tweaked a lot for motivation and fun purposes. Those who know me, know
that even I have exploited this one a couple of times. But before we go into my
take on the phrase, let us understand the origin.
It was in 1915 when Christian anarchist
writer Elbert Hubbard wrote an obituary for actor Marshall P. Wilder and used
the lemon-lemonade connection for the first time. It was written to show how
the dwarf actor had risen above his disabilities and stayed optimistic.

Book Review: Nazaqat
Blurb:
Naazani, a shy girl with a lonely childhood, was born and brought up in Dehradun. She moves to a metropolitan for further education and gets absorbed. In a series of events, she decides to adopt prostitution and becomes one of the most successful high profile escorts of the city with the help of her manager Sharat.
In a quest to be successful, she leaves her friends behind and dedicates more time to her profession. Nazaqat witnesses a police raid at a nearby place and the real scenario of prostitution terrifies her.She decides to take a stand and do something about it. However, Sharat convinces her that she is not powerful enough to make a difference.
Nazaqat retires and pool all her money and starts a restaurant – Joy foods in partnership with Sharat. The business grows and soon enough they have numerous outlets in various cities and Naazani Singh Shekhawat emerges as a significant entrepreneur of nation.
To cherish the old memories, she organizes a group together and calls all her old friends. Next morning, it is found that something drastic happened the night before.
Meanwhile, she invites an author – Matthews, who is an old acquaintance to pen down her own biography. He visits her each night and in a series of ten nights, her story finds its crescendo. Will prostitution be legalized? What’s her intention with the biography she is planning? What shall be the fate of Naazani Singh Shekhawat aka Nazaqat?
Nazaqat is a very detailed and carefully woven story which is a unique blend of thrill and drama. It is a refreshing story about a girl who adopts prostitution on her own will and starts a quest to legalize prostitution in India. While it’s entertaining because of the commercial voice, it also addresses grave issues of feminism, prostitution and homosexuality in society.

Photo albums and bottomless timelines
Digital and mobile phone cameras have been
one of the coolest inventions. I love them, we all do. Click on the go and
upload on Facebook. Get 'Likes' and comments galore.
But a few days later, the photos are lost
in bottomless timelines. Some of our best photos and moments disappear in the
"scroll down" mode of social media sites.

The Virtue of love
Love is a mystery no one can solve, and
those who have tried have fallen into greater depths of the mystery. The
emotions and the bonds connected to one tiny word called ‘Love’ are innate; it
attracts everyone with its magnetic presence.
People all over celebrate an astounding feeling called ‘love’.
Ridhima, Sahil and Karan were the best of
friends and they knew what it was to be in love for the past ten years they
were each others valentines. A week long celebration of friendship and love had
been their tradition ever since the fifth grade. Roses, chocolates, teddies,
promises, propose, hugs and kisses were their week long schedule and a daily
dose was guaranteed. They loved the idea of spending the valentines with each
other as they had been together forever.

Love vs Relationships
The 14th
February is gone and with it the week of romance and love ends. Now you can go
back to the older you. Ignore her, do not call her up, make her wait for you,
rebuke her, call her a bitch and do whatever you want to do, because the
Valentine week is over and nobody is gonna ask u ‘how your relationship is
going? And what new surprise you has got planned for her?’

Self Policing
How many
times a day we comment on the way a person prefers dressing. How much of time
we spend every day judging others. How many times does our comment or judgment
make things better? Do we even consider how sentimental our slander may be? Do
we even try to decipher the genesis of the way in which one behaves?
Will we ever change? Will we ever understand
others?
No! Not until
we are on the other side of the road.

Remember my Name
We all were born
with an ethical mind, told not to do wrong to anyone. We have always been like
this good and helpful. Always you and I restrain ourselves from breaking bad
and then one day the coin of life flip and now we are on the other side of the
life. We are bound to provide for our family and for those who are waiting for
us to bring their bread. We are bound to be a good citizen. But there are times
when one has only one option left—Breaking Bad.

Ricochet in Love
Many people equate love to certain objects
they hold dear to their hearts but the essence of love is not the one that can
be objectified. One invests a lot of
emotions, trust, honesty and their soul in a relationship. It’s like you
carefully put one card on another to build the delicate house of cards and just
when you’re about to achieve gratification for building such a fragile
structure, a fraction of a second of distraction and all your dreams and
expectations come crumbling down.

Things to know in School
Memories from school are perhaps our best
childhood memories. The innocence and naïveté and the silly things we did can
never be brought back. It is also the most crucial phase of a person’s life,
the time when they are away from family mingling with various kinds of people
of different age, gender, class and religious groups. School is where they
interact, learn and imbibe a lot of different things that they cannot possibly
learn from being at home and things and values that will help them grow into
better human beings in the future.

Solo Travel
I will not deny that I am a casual
escapist. When things gets particularly difficult I like to take some time off
to deal with the situation and my emotions before I face it head on. I have
found that taking a step back often leaves me with more clarity. And then there
are times when I need to self-reflect- to make peace with an unexpected,
unwanted outcome before I can move forward or to grieve the loss something I
held precious or the end of hope.

Fibromyalgia
You are constantly in pain. The kind you
can't describe in words. The kind you say is unbearable, unstoppable and has
bothered you for at least three months to several years, every single day,
every single minute. The only change is the amount of pain in different areas
of the body. Yeah it is chronic pain but there are a lot many other things that
are bothering you. Like the unexplained fever that stays on for months. Then
you keep forgetting things. You experience fatigue most of the time as if some
unknown power has snatched away all your energy and most definitely affected
your quality of life.

Dark is Beautiful
“She wins who
calls herself beautiful and challenges the world to change to truly see her..” ~ Naomi Wolf, The Beauty Myth: How images of
Beauty are used against Women
The Beauty Myth. It’s a transformative book. Hard hitting.
Unabashed. Powerful. Just the way I love my feminism to be. Back in America, she
famously said, Beauty provokes harassment they say, but then they are looking
through a man’s eyes! How I love this woman! And Nandita Das, back in India,
the one who says that ‘Stay UNfair, stay beautiful!’.

The Face-book of life
Photograph
was a rarity before facebook. As and when I remember facebook I remember
hundreds and thousands of faces swarming in front of my eyes. I remember them
just the way they look on facebook. It might be their 10 year old snapshot or a
mug shot or the pic of a baby in cradle. The baby can be their new born or
sometimes their sister’s / brother’s new born. There have been incidents when I
got utterly confused on seeing an image as I was not sure whether to wish them
congrats on the pic or message and be sure first! Whatever you click goes in to
Facebook. Everybody thinks he is an ace photographer once he receives a couple
of good compliments. I am not complaining here. I am guilty myself as I click a
picture and assume it has come out gorgeously! Posting and liking photographs is everyone’s priority task on FB.
